Music is one of my biggest passions. No matter my mood, there is a song to match. Designing cover art allows me to explore the meaning behind my favourite records, and create my own visual interpretation of the sounds, experimenting and tweaking until I land on the perfect note. A psychadelic and vibrant cover to match the theme of the song. The spiralling and liquefied texture is hypnotic and works in parallel with the floating guitar in the song.

Alt-J said this song is about spending time with friends in the summer. It makes me feel nostalgic. I wanted to replicate those emotions, so the art represents a messy scrapbook style containing the three members, with a summery retro aesthetic to match.

The ethereal, silky nature of Pink Moon is replicated in this cover, namely the shimmering lake and sprayed galaxies. The lush pink matches the warmth and sheer emotion of Tash's guitar tone.

Much like the song, this cover symbolises changing your state of mind, making peace with your past, and being in control of your future. Where the renaissance statue is what came before, the surreal shapes in place of the head show the shift in mentality and what's to come.

The sparsity in this song, coupled with its name, made me think of a radio signal being beamed out across the universe to a lost lover.

The colourful fluid instrumental and flow of the song dictated the background. Overall it depicts the idea of enjoying a lucid dream.

Such an confidently smooth performance of a provocative subject required an equally slick cover art. The metaphor of sex is represented with the jar of honey. An 80's colour palette was a must.

Mirroring the song's meaning, the firefly represents Sufjan's mother, whilst the firework symbolises her somewhat explosive and unpredictable personality. The subtle cracks illustrate their fractured relationship.

This art reflects the duality between the first and second section of the song in terms of style, tempo, and aggression. It visualises the two main sides, and possibly battles, of Slowthai's personality.

Whilst it certainly evokes feeling trapped, despair, and descent into madness, this cover art also bring forth the fun, togetherness, and hopefulness of the song's melody, through colour.
