Carbon Sake

Carbon is the building block for life and the most versatile element in the universe, forming a vast number of compounds. Yakisugi is the traditional Japanese method of charring wood to create a protective layer of carbon on the surface, supporting what is underneath. Carbon Sake is a metaphor – to build and preserve human relationships.

The wide bottle mouth encourages sharing - complementing the traditional way to consume Sake.

Produced in black glass, the tailored wood-like texture authentically replicates Yakisugi.

The addition of acid-etch effect spray, large embossed logography and a splash of Japanese red make the bottle as vivacious as the culture that inspires it.
