Highland Park's oldest whisky release to date captures Orkney's Wild Harmony, blending the island's untamed nature with its balanced environment.

The design symbolises the formation of the Orcadian islands: the tear-drop vessel represents land formed by fast-flowing lava, while the presentation case reflects the weathered, tamed landscape. A key design challenge was to merge art with functionality.

An inspirational trip to Orkney aimed to explore the sweeping landscapes, immerse myself into Orcadian culture, and uncover what makes the island so extraordinary.

The cliffs of Yesnaby inspired the decanter’s texture. It’s understood that they’re Orkney's oldest geological point, and therefore the first formed part. It felt poetic to manipulate their image when symbolising the formation of land.

An innovative wavy opening at the top of the bottle creates a world-first design, enhancing its sculptural aesthetic and symbolizing the organic cooling and shaping of land after its formation.

John Galvin designed a striking presentation case for the bottle, and we worked closely together to ensure the two elements complement each other perfectly.

The push design is inspired by the conical mash tun at Highland Park distillery. It’s the first part of the distilling process in which alcohol is formed - marking the origin of this whisky.
